No. The primary owner of the team is solely responsible for any taxes incurred upon winnings.

Any manager who wins $600 or more in prize money must complete the necessary tax withholding information (W-9). There is no exception to this rule. Once you have completed the necessary paperwork and faxed/mailed in the appropriate forms, all prize money will be paid. Our goal is to ensure all prize money earned via the Main Event is paid by no later than January 30.

You will be refunded 100% of your entry fee or offered to move to another draft based on the current schedule.

Yes.

Third round reversal has been a part of the KFFSC since its inception. Round one and two have the serpentine draft: 1-12 and then 12-1. At the beginning of the third round, team 12 will have the first pick of that round and then the draft follows in a serpentine fashion from thereafter through round 20. The 3RR helps to balance the playing field for those picking at the end of the draft in the first two rounds.

DSA is your opportunity to bid on your draft position prior to the draft.  Each team has $1000 free agency dollars allotted to their team to bid on their draft position and also to bid for free agents during the season. Prior to the draft, the facilitator will begin to take bids for each draft position. It is up to you to determine where you want to draft from. If you successfully bid $300 for your draft position, you wil have $700 remaining for free agent bidding for the enitre season. Between the KDS and the free agent acquisitions, please remember you have $1000 for the entire season. ONce the $1000 has been spent, you cannot acquire additional funds.

*Please note there is no bidding for your draft position on an online main event team. Your draft position will be determined by a random draft selection process via RT sports.

Picks must be made within one minute and thirty seconds. You will be notified at the one minute and 15 second mark of the time. If you choose not to make a selection, the pick goes to the next team. Once they have made a selection, you will then have the opportunity to make a pick.

Yes. There will be a thirty minute break after round 8.

Yes. Electronic devices are permitted at the event.

If you are drafting online, the computer will draft for you. The best player available will be drafted for your team. If you miss a live draft in person at the Horseshoe casino, a surrogate drafter will draft your team for you. There is no refund for a missed online or live draft.

No. Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the ballroom throughout the two day event.

No. Per our contract with the Horseshoe casino, we are not allowed to accept payment on their property for the purchase of any teams. All payments must be made prior to the event.

The deadline to register is four days prior to the event if we have a league that has not been filled to date. We must reserve teams into groups of 12 so the longer you wait to register, the greater the chance we will not be able to accommodate your request at the last minute.

You may purchase as many teams as you like during the season.

You will not be placed into a league until the check has been deposited and is cleared by the bank. Please make all checks payable to the KFFSC.

RT Sports is and will continue to be our home for the KFFSC.

The KFFSC is open to individuals who are 21 years of age or older and are legal residents in a jurisdiction in which the contest is permitted by law. Residents that live where the KFFSC is prohibited or regulated by law are not permitted to enter or win prizes. The following states include:  Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Washington, Vermont and Quebec, Canada. Military personnel stationed overseas may compete online in our events. If you live outside the U.S., please check your country’s laws regarding participation in the KFFSC.

Yes. Pursuant to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, this bill was signed into law on October 13, 2006. The language clarified the legality of fantasy sports.

All of the prizes are fully guaranteed. The prize pool is protected and kept in a separate account at PNC Bank in Louisville, KY.

The KFFSC has been in existence for over 10 years and holds the largest live event outside of Las Vegas. It is a two day event that features a Dynasty, Auction, I want to be in Las Vegas, Big Payback and a Main Event that had a record of over 204 teams in 2012. Players travel from all across the United States to participate in this event during the last weekend in August. The event is held at the Horseshoe casino in southern Indiana. The Horseshoe casino is approximately 15 miles from Louisville, Kentucky. The KFFSC not only offers a live event but will offer a new opportunity to draft online as well in 2013. If you cannot travel to Horseshoe casino and want to be a part of the Main Event, you may draft a Main Event team online via RT Sports. The draft dates will be determined in July.
